Submission

The submission process is online. One can register and submit the paper on the website of the conference

General Requirements

• The manuscripts are submitted in Word one column format – Template (download)

• Only full-length papers can be submitted (4-5 pages min) - there is no maximum limit of pages)

• The paper must be in the scope of the Conference

• A wide range of scientific articles including original research articles, reviews, tutorial articles, perspective/colloquia articles in specific fields of research are accepted

• At least one author of the article should attend the conference (physically or remotely).

E3S Web of Conferences Publishing Ethics Guidelines

Authors are required to carefully review and adhere to the E3S Web of Conferences Publishing Ethics Guidelines (see above) before submitting their manuscripts. These guidelines outline essential standards on authorship, originality, plagiarism, conflicts of interest, and transparency, and are based on the principles established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Compliance with these ethical standards is crucial to ensure the integrity and quality of the publication process.

For being considered in the journal, an article should be:

• Basically, correct and sound
• Original (not published elsewhere)
• Comprehensive to the general readership of the journal
• A scientific work that was presented at the conference
• Subject to peer-review before acceptance
• More than an extended abstract
• In line with the scope of Web of Conferences

Once the paper is published online, further changes and amendments cannot be accepted.

General Ethical Principles

• Authors are encouraged to refer to the Committee on Publishing Ethics (COPE) for all aspects of publication ethics: http://publicationethics.org/ and to strictly conform to the ethical rules described on: https://www.e3s-conferences.org/about-the-journal/publishing-policies-ethics

• Before publication, E3S Web of Conferences will review papers using the text comparison tool “iThenticate”, to prevent plagiarism malpractices.

• One author can submit a maximum of two articles for one conference (regardless of his/her position in the list).

Contents

• Language

Manuscripts should be written in English. For authors not fluent in English, we recommend having the manuscript carefully read by an English-speaking colleague or a professional editing service before publication.

• Title

Manuscripts must be submitted with a full title which appears at the top of the article. The title should reflect the contents of the paper and be specific, descriptive, concise, and comprehensible to readers outside the subject field (please avoid abbreviation and a title written in capital letters).

• Authors and Affiliations

The authors should specify in the article their first and last names and relevant addresses (department, university / organization, city, state/province and country). The list of co-authors should remain unchanged after a final decision is made by the Editors.

• Abstract

The abstract should describe the main objective(s) of the study. It should be informative and report the main results and conclusions.

• Introduction

The introduction should provide background that puts the manuscript into context and allows readers outside the field to understand the purpose and significance of the study. It should define the problem addressed and explain why it is important.

• Figures

Authors who reproduce a figure or a table from another publication should clearly indicate the origin of the article and should also obtain the permission for reproduction from the author(s) and publisher concerned. Each figure and table should be cited in the text. Each figure and table should have a caption. The number of figures is not limited. However, it is important to make sure that all figures are necessary, not redundant, and well designed.

• References

Authors should check the references to ensure they are correct. References should be listed at the end of the manuscript. Comments and notes are usually not allowed in the references; they should be placed as footnotes

Presentation requirements

All conference papers accepted to the Conference will be presented in one of the formats (face-to-face, virtually, poster presentation). While submitting a paper, it is necessary to indicate the format, in which it will be presented.

Oral Presentation

• Attend to the Conference Room 10 minutes in advance.
• Presentation should last no longer than 7-10 minutes, followed by a 3-minute discussion.
• Only one author can be the presenter and is obliged to participate in the discussion. Other co-authors can also take part in the discussion.
• You must be knowledgeable in your subject and answer questions during your presentation.
• Give an opening statement to acquaint the audience with the nature and purpose of the study.
• Briefly describe procedures and materials.
• Allocate most of the presentation time to the results of the study. State the results simply and clearly so that significant facts can be readily identified.
• Conclude the presentation with a brief summary of the essential results you believe were demonstrated by the experimental data.
• Authors can use the presentation template for their presentation.
• Presentations must be created in Microsoft Office Powerpoint *.ppt or *.pptx format. Presenters take full responsibility of the presentation quality and file format.
• Bring a copy of your presentation on a portable medium, e.g., USB Flash Drive or Memory Card (those that do not require any special drivers).

Virtual (Remote) Presentation

• To take part in the online session participants have to register for Zoom session not later than one week before the event.
• Online presenters will receive code for ZOOM conference room by email, about -3 days before the event.
• Each speaker has 10 minutes: 7 minutes for a presentation and 3 minutes for questions.
• Only one author can be the presenter and is obliged to participate in the discussion. Other co-authors can also take part in the discussion.
• Once the event has started, click “Join event now” on the event landing page.
• During the presentation make sure your camera and microphone are on; the switches are located in the toolbar at the bottom of the page.
• Share the Presentation material with other participations during your presentation.
• During presentations, participants can use the Q&A functionality to pose questions to the speaker. For contributed-talk sessions with multiple speakers, make sure you address the question to a particular speaker. The session chair will then read out (some of) these questions to the speaker. Alternatively, there is the possibility to raise your hand; the session chair may then temporarily unmute you so that you can ask your question.
• There is also a chat feature for private and public chatting.

Pre-recorded video presentation

In order to provide the greatest flexibility to our attendees, video presentations will be made available for viewing on YouTube according to the Schedule and on the Conference website.

• Format:   
  • Video format: MPEG-4 (.mp4) recommended but mpeg, mpg, mov, avi are also acceptable
  • Video settings: Minimum horizontal resolution of 720 pixels
  • Duration: 10-15 minutes
  • File size: < 200 MB preferred

• Videos should contain a prominent view of the presentation slides along with audio of the spoken presentation.
• Optionally videos may contain a view of the speaker’s face for increased engagement (for instance the standard Zoom recording will include a thumbnail-sized image of the speaker).
• For all videos, the slides content (text and images) must be clearly visible and cover at least 80% of the frame.
• Introduce yourself briefly at the beginning of the video recording.
• The video should be of good quality with seamless frame transitions.
• Try to make sure that the voice of the presenter must be clearly audible (no echo, static noise, music or background noise).
• Depending on the type of microphone used, the keystroke (keyboard) noise can easily be picked up and be audible in the video recording.
• If your presentation has many animations/pages, we recommend using the mouse button to move to the next slide instead.
• For the best audio quality try different microphones to see which produces the highest quality with your system.
• Try to slow-down your voice speed (to 80% of your normal speech speed) for a clear audio recording.
• The simplest way to create a video of your presentation is to use the recording feature in Zoom (available in both the free and paid versions).
• Since your video files are large, don't try to send them over email. WeTransfer is the simplest way to send your files up to 2GB for free. Please, use www.wetransfer.com specifying as "Email to" krasnio@bk.ru and indication your PaperID of the paper your video is associated with or send the link to Dropbox or GoogleDrive. The video presentations should be sent to the Organizer 5-7 days before the event.

E-Poster presentation

E-poster presentation (PowerPoint) should be sent to organizers at latest 5 days before the event.

The E-posters will be displayed on the website of the Conference.

There will be E-poster presentation session according to the Schedule.

All e-Posters will be shown on the screen by data projector, so there is no need to bring a paper poster.

Submission Format: PDF/Power Pont files are available (.pdf/.pptx/.ppt/)

• Contents: Title, Author’s information, Abstract, Research Process (figures, tables, etc), Conclusion

Ethical rules

The Agritech-XII Conference employs a single-blind peer review process to ensure the quality and integrity of all accepted papers. In this process, reviewers know the identity of the authors, but the authors do not know the identity of the reviewers. This approach allows reviewers to provide honest and objective feedback while maintaining their anonymity.

Key Steps of the Peer Review Process:

• Submission Screening:
  All submitted manuscripts are first checked for originality using reliable plagiarism detection software. Manuscripts containing significant plagiarism or self-plagiarism will be rejected immediately.
• Assignment to Reviewers:
  Each submission is assigned to at least one independent expert in the relevant field. The reviewer is selected based on subject expertise and is required to have no conflicts of interest with the author or the research.
• Review Criteria:
  Reviewers and editors evaluate submissions based on:
  • Relevance to the conference scope
  • Originality and significance of results
  • Scientific accuracy and technical soundness
  • Clarity, organization, and quality of presentation
  • Appropriateness of the title and abstract
  • Quality and relevance of illustrations and figures
  • Completeness and accuracy of references
  • Quality of English language
• Confidentiality and Ethics:
  Reviewers are instructed to treat all manuscripts as confidential and to adhere to ethical guidelines, including the COPE Ethical Guidelines for Peer Reviewers.
• Editorial Decision:
  Based on the reviewers’ recommendations, the proceedings editor makes an initial decision: acceptance, revision, or rejection. Revised manuscripts may be sent for another round of review or evaluated by the editor directly.
• Final Decision:
  The Organizing Committee provides recommendations on acceptance, but the final decision on publication rests with the Publisher.
